Verstappen shatters another Vettel record in Saudi Arabia

Most of Sebastian Vettel’s ‘youngest ever’ records have been smashed by Max Verstappen, including youngest-ever race winner and podium finisher.

One record that will never be beaten by Verstappen is that of youngest World Champion, the Dutchman claiming his 2021 title just after he turned 24, with Vettel achieving this at 23, but in consolation, another of the German’s records fell to Verstappen after his crushing Saudi Arabian Grand Prix victory.

Verstappen’s 56th career win was his 100th podium finish in just 187 starts, joining an elite club of seven World Champions with 25 titles and 407 wins between them or 36.89% of all 1,103 World Championship Grands Prix held as of Saudi Arabia.

Vettel was previously the youngest driver of the club to reach 100 podiums at a sprightly 30 years, 8 months with his victory at the 2018 Australian Grand Prix.

As the table below shows, Verstappen smashed that by nearly FOUR years in Jeddah
