Roy Keane left laughing as Theo Walcott mocked by Micah Richards during Mohamed Salah analysis

Theo Walcott was brutally mocked by Michah Richards during half time of Liverpool’s game against Brighton.

The former Arsenal man was assessing Mohamed Salah’s missed chances in the opening 45 minutes of the Reds’ 2-1 win over the Seagulls when he became Richards’ target.

Salah had seven shots in the first half without success, but it was one strike in particular that led to the exchange.

Dominik Szoboszlai slipped the Egyptian forward in on goal, and he hit a tame first-time effort straight at Bart Verbruggen.

Speaking on Sky Sports over the top of the clip, Walcott said: “This is where Mo Salah is at his best when he’s running from deep.

“You can see what he’s trying to do, but again, he scuffs it.”

Super Sunday host David Jones then asked the ex-England forward to expand on his comment.

Walcott jokingly said: “He’s trying to do a Theo Walcott finish.”

Richards interrupted and shut his fellow presenter down by saying: “He did the Theo Walcott finish.”

This provoked huge laughter from everyone in the studio, even Roy Keane was chuckling along.

Of course, it was a brutal putdown, but it was intended and received as a joke.

Away from the studio, Salah finally found his shooting boots in the second period, as he scored what proved to be the winner.

Alexis Mac Allister played a pass to him in the box, and on his favoured left foot, he whipped a low shot into the bottom corner.

This win temporarily moves the Reds to the top of the Premier League table before Manchester City and Arsenal clash.

Brighton actually opened the scoring against Jurgen Klopp’s men at Anfield inside the first two minutes through an excellent Danny Welbeck strike.

Luis Diaz hauled the hosts level before Salah bounced back from his earlier misses to seal a big three points.
