Harry Kane issues worrying four-word update on injury scare as Bayern Munich and England sweat in fitness

Harry Kane was unable to ease fears over the extent of his injury following Bayern’s win over Darmstadt.

The Bavaria outfit sealed a 5-2 win on Saturday, with Kane breaking another record as he found the net at the end of first half.

The England captain’s afternoon then took a turn as he clashed with the goalpost while trying to pounce on Alphonso Davies’ effort rebounding off the crossbar.

He received medical attention before being substituted off for Eric Choupo-Moting, with his side going on to win 5-2 in his absence.

When asked about his injury by a reporter in the tunnel, Kane replied: “A little bit painful.”

He was pictured walking with his suitcase in tow.

When asked about the striker after the game, Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel confirmed he’s yet to learn the extent of the injury scare.

“He collided with the post and twisted his ankle a bit – he had his ankle iced,” he said.

“There’s still no diagnosis, we have to wait. I hope it’s nothing bad.”

Bayern director Christoph Freund also added: “We hope it’s not that bad. It was a precautionary measure that he went out.

“Harry twisted his ankle and the area had to be cooled down. He won’t take any risks with the national team.”

Kane is set to play for England in a weeks time, with the Three Lions facing Brazil, before playing Belgium the following Tuesday.
