Chris Eubank baffles fans with ‘testicular fortitude’ remark live on Sky Sports as Adam Azim vs Harlem Eubank announcement is made

Chris Eubank Sr briefly stole the show live on Sky Sports on Sunday night.

Midway through the Fabio Wardley vs Frazer Clarke event, it was announced that Adam Azim and Eubank Sr’s nephew Harlem Eubank are in advanced talks to box each other next.

The two fighters faced off in the ring before the main event.

Accompanying them were Barry McGuigan, Azim’s manager, and Chris Eubank Sr, Harlem’s uncle and mentor.

Eubank Sr was in fine form as always as he passionately talked up the fight.

But fans were left baffled when he made reference to his nephew’s ‘testicular fortitude’.

“Sky television is a wonder in terms of a broadcaster,” said the British boxing legend.

“I launched this Box Office boxing in 1994 it went on it did so very well and now we are back for a second run.

“Harlem is going to take that front seat. He is emotional, his father died from this particular sport, it is very dangerous. He is fighting with his heart, we aren’t here to play as you will see.

“His style is like that of Sugar Ray Leonard and his testicular fortitude is that of mine, we are Eubanks we are not here to play, Rastafarian.”

Reacting to Eubank Sr’s bizarre comment, one fan tweeted: “‘His testicular fortitude is that of mine. We’re Eubanks.’ Probably one of the best lines I’ve ever heard.”

Another wrote: “What’s it like to have such testicular fortitude?”

A third added: “Love Chris Eubank Snr!!”

After McGuigan and Eubank Sr had said their piece, the two fighters went head to head.

“100 per cent I am ready, he may be a Eubank but I am an Azim,” said Azim, “This is going to be an Azim takeover.”

But Harlem cast doubts over Azim’s willingness to take up the challenge.

“I don’t believe he wants it,” he said. “His team organise everything for him and his team clearly want it.

“His team are clearly excited but I know he doesn’t want it.”

Both boxers are undefeated heading into their proposed showdown with Azim sitting at 11-0 and Harlem boasting an impressive unblemished 19-0 record.

Azim is the current European super-lightweight champion so it would make sense for the belt to be on the line although that has not been confirmed as of yet.
